Welcome to Ritaart by Arita
This site offers an online display of some of the creative examples of portraits by Midlands based Artist Rita Simmonds who worked as a Professional Artist creating 3d and 2d works since 2000. It includes work that has been exhibited and animal Portraits included in several Ann Kullberg Pencil Box showcases and the UKCPS magazine, for more information follow me on Facebook or Instagram.

I tend to concentrate on portraits of people and animals using a range of media including graphite pencil, colour pencil, pastels, acrylic and mixed media.
I feel portraits are much more expressive than a photograph as they capture more detail and the essence of the sitter in a way that a camera cannot. I love what I do and work hard to create beautiful, realistic portraits of your loving companions whether human or four legged.
I do also enjoy other forms of artistic creativity so my portfolio of work on here includes other styles of art including still life, landscapes, fantasy and carving, I hope you enjoy seeing them and some of them are available for sale or I can create something specific for you so if you are interested in anything by all means use the contact me boxes on the site to request more information.
Through time, patience and the highest quality lightfast materials these portraits and other works of art make wonderful keepsakes for you or friends and family as they will last a lifetime.

At the top of each gallery you will find another menu, the All Menu shows everything in that particular gallery while the other menus group the items into specific types for easier viewing
